The D-Link DES-1008D 8-Port switch is a powerful, unmanaged and easy to use 10/100Mbps switch for small workgroups. This plug-and-play device allows users to simply plug any port to either a 10Mbps or 100Mbps network to multiply bandwidths, boost response time and satisfy heavy load demands.

With the D-Link DES-1008D 8 Port 10/100 Ethernet Fast Switch, you are able to eliminate unnecessary traffic. By delivering dedicated bandwidth for each of the eight ports, the D-Link DES-1008D Ethernet switch is able to relieve congestion

This switch provides 8 10/100Mbps ports, allowing a small work-group to flexibly connect to Ethernet and Fast Ethernet and integrate. These intelligent ports detect the network speed and auto-negotiate between 10Base-T and 100Base-TX, as well as between Half and Full-Duplex.

The flow control function minimizes dropped packets by sending out collision signals when the port's receiving buffer is full. The flow control is available in the half-duplex mode.
