Okay, this shot of the Fan Remote Control - electronic fan regulator - might not look great (done by an amateur), but the 5-speed micro remote control for fan is a great comfort device. With remote controls for every other home gadget, we are all settled into a life of remote controls. Now, you have one for your ceiling fans, as well - the micro remote control for fans.

The 5-speed ceiling fan remote control allows you stay away from your ceiling fan's regulator and conveniently operate it. Even from a significant distance away. Now you can lie in your bed or sit on the sofa and conveniently operate your fan. You don't need to or have to get up. Besides, you now have extra functions that were not possible with the conventional fan regulators. Check what you can do with the fan remote control - your electronic fan regulator:

Turn the fan on or off.
Set or change the speed - 5-speed control allows choice from speed-1 to speed-5.
Set Timer for your fan - Now you can set your fan to go off in 1hr, 2hrs, 4hrs or 8hrs. Saves you from catching cold while sleeping.

What's more, this fan remote control works up to a distance of 8 meters! Then think of this, especially if you use a pre-paid PHCN meter: your fans will never come on just because PHCN brought power in your absence and you had left their switches in 'on' position. With this control system, a fan has to be deliberately put on. It doesn't come on just with the return of power supply. Consider how much credit you waste when fans are forgotten in 'on' position when power outage occurs and they just get working when power returns, often in your absence. Not anymore!

How the Fan Remote Control Works
The Ceiling fan remote control has two components: (1) the hand-held remote control device (2) the sensing unit. That sensing unit (white in product image) replaces the regular switch of the fan. In effect, if you are buying a new fan and want to use the fan remote control, you don't need to buy the regulator, if possible. For an already installed fan, the regular is replaced with the remote's sensing unit. With that, the hand-held unit communicates with the wall unit to operate the fan.Can it be used with a standing fan? Certainly yes, but only if the fan is used in fixed position as the control sendor/switch has to be fixed, preferably to the wall.

Installation of the Fan Remote Control
Installation is simple. The same wires that connected your fan's regulator now terminate in the remote's sensor. The sensor is screwed to the wall, just as with the old regular. Two units of AAA battery are fed into the hand-held remote and the system is up and running. Easy installation, no complication, no programming. Just replace the normal regulator with the unit's sensor and it's done. Less than 2 minutes!
